Privacy Policy

Tripmeister is a rally trip computer. It measures distance, speed, heading and

altitude while you drive. This policy describes exactly what happens to that

data.

Short version

Tripmeister has no account, no server and no analytics. Everything it records

stays on your iPhone unless you explicitly choose to upload a stage to your own

Strava account.

What the app records

To work as a trip computer, Tripmeister uses:

• Location (GPS). Position, speed, heading and altitude, sampled while a

rally stage is running. This is what produces the odometers, average speed

and regularity timing.

• Motion sensors. The barometer and magnetometer, used to stabilise the

altitude reading and to show a compass heading at low speed.

• Your rally data. Rallies, stages, roadbook instructions, waypoints,

recorded tracks and settings that you create in the app.

Where it is stored

All of it is stored locally on your device, in the app's private storage.

There is no Tripmeister account and no Tripmeister server. We — the developer —

never receive your location, your tracks or your rally data.

If you have iPhone backups enabled, this data may be included in your own

iCloud or computer backup, under your control and Apple's terms.

When data leaves your device

There is exactly one case: if you connect Strava and upload a stage.

• Connecting Strava is optional and off by default.
• When you tap to sync a stage, that stage's GPS track and its title and

description are sent to Strava, to your own account.

• Nothing is uploaded automatically. Each upload is an explicit action.
• Your Strava login tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device,

and can be removed at any time with *Settings → Strava → Disconnect*.

Once data reaches Strava it is governed by

Strava's privacy policy.

What the app does not do

• No analytics, telemetry or crash-reporting services
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers
• No tracking across other apps or websites
• No third-party SDKs — the app uses only Apple frameworks
• Your data is never sold or shared with anyone

Your control

• Location access can be changed or revoked at any time in

iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Tripmeister.

Without it the app cannot measure distance or speed.

• Deleting a rally in the app deletes its stages, tracks and events.
• Deleting the app removes all Tripmeister data from your device.

Children

Tripmeister is a tool for drivers and is not directed at children.
